The Bradley Eagles were an independent football team that played football games in 1920. The team played home games at Bradley Field in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. The Bradley Eagles went 9-0-2 in their only year of existence. The team only played one road but all their games were in McKees Rock. The first game the Eagles played was against the Lawrenceville Valley Club in a 31-0 victory. The team followed it up in a 24-20 victory a few weeks later against the Akron Goodyear Silents. Seven days later the Eagles won 7-0 over South Fork. They then tied in a 0-0 game against Wheeling Collegians. The following week the Eagles defeated the Akron Goodyear 31-0. A week later, the Bradley Eagles won 19-0 against the Wilkinsburg Murdochs. The Eagles followed that performance up with a 26-0 victory over the Dennison Panhandles. The Eagles then traveled to play the McKeesport Olympics at Cycler Park in a 6-0 victory by the Eagles. Monaco then played the Eagles the following week in a 14-13 game that Eagles barely won. The Eagles then had a rematch against the Olympics where the game ended up in a 7-7 tie. The Eagles last game was a 7-0 victory over the Duquesne Apprentices.
Pro Football Historian (PFH) is a blog page written by Flint Given. Pro Football Historian or PFH is a page to inform people on prior NFL events that people might not know about. Learning about teams from the 1920s or even the first few NFL World Championships in the 1930s fascinates me. It's these kinds of events that I want to discuss in this blog. Hopefully you are interested and will continue to check up on my blogs.
