Who Would Be In Your NFL Hall Of Fame Class?

This year there will be another Hall Of Fame class. The class of 2016 includes greats like Brett Favre, Marvin Harrison, Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Orlando Pace, Ken Stabler, and Dick Stanfel. All these players have something unique about. Some have waited over three decades to get in. Unfortunately Stanfel and Stabler have passed away after waiting a long time to get in. Each of these players deserve to get in.

The NFL has had over 50 classes of hall of famers. The HOF for the NFL started in 1963 and is in Canton, Ohio. The Hall Of Fame is no guarantee. Even Vince Lombardi didn't get in his first year of eligibility. Terrell Owens who had over 15,000 receiving yards, 153 receiving touchdowns, and a 5 time first team all pro didn't get in this year. Over 40 people are part of the selection process.

Shockingly enough many greats who were passed up a few times are forgotten and rarely are voted back on a semi-finalist list. What I mean is guys like Jim Marshall or Jerry Kraemer have had amazing careers. They were semi-finalists or finalists for few years and then never get voted back to semi-finalists. In my eyes they are HOFers, I doubt they ever make it because they are never brought up in the conversation. Jerry Kraemer is the only player on the NFL's 50 year anniversary team to not be in the HOF. I do not see a guard from  the 60s to make the HOF after all this time and I think you would agree.

In addition, somehow guys like Ken Riley (played for the Cincinnati Bengals) and Dave Brown (played for a few teams, mostly of the Seattle Seahawks) who were cornerbacks decades ago. Each of them have had over 60 interceptions. Remember they didn't throw as much as today so take that into consideration. There isn't even a current player with even anything close to 60 interceptions. Everyone with 60 interceptions is in or probably will be in the HOF. I say will be, because Ed Reed and Charles Woodson are very likely to go in the HOF in the upcoming years. Well before I ramble on, that was just a few examples of players being forgotten by the NFL competition crew.

Today I am asking you, if you had to pick 7 HOFers, which would you pick. Each year around 7 former greats are selected to the HOF right before the Super Bowl Sunday (The Saturday before the SB, now announced at NFL Honors). There is no criteria, you can pick 7 of your favorite players. They can be all from your favorite team. They can be all quarterbacks. Coaches and owners you can also include. They can be current or former NFL players. I'm not asking for you to list your HOF class of 2017. I'm saying if you had to start a new HOF who would be your first/top 7 best players.

Here is a video of the live reaction of this years HOF class getting the news that they have made it to Football Immortality.
